- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Set up, repair, modify and maintain processes and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance within a preventative maintenance program and maintain records
- Respond to equipment issues in a customer oriented manner
- Responsible for working safely, following safety policies and wearing required PPE
- Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
- EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES:
- Electrician certification or Millwright with extensive electrical experience
- Dual license would be an asset.
- Successful completion of a basic industrial electrical course is an asset
- Valid Class G license
- KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Team-oriented with a strong, self-directed work ethic
- Ability to multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is a necessity
- Available for afternoon shift
- Flexibility to meet operational demand
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical/ Electrical basic electrical knowledge is required
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs and safety procedures (LOTO) is an asset
- Working knowledge of CMMS programs
